Proprietary quantitative trading WY · NO · EE
Njord builds and operates its own trading systems for digital‑asset markets.
A proprietary firm. No outside capital, no public offerings, no advice. The platform is in development and nothing has traded.
01 Principles
Properties, not features.
Durable
Orders, fills, positions and decisions survive a restart. The store is the truth. Everything else is derived from it.
Fail-closed
Unknown state halts trading. No configuration flag disables a risk check. A strategy is never handed anything that can move money.
Reproducible
The same inputs give byte-identical results in backtest, replay and paper trading. Research is done without lookahead, with realistic costs.
02 Platform
One trading path.
Backtest, replay, paper and live trading run the same strategy manager, risk engine and order management. Only the feed, the clock and the venue adapter differ. Every order passes the risk engine. Live trading requires a recorded arming with an actor and a reason.

03 Research
Notes from the work.
Notes are being prepared. The first will cover why the risk engine cannot be switched off, overfitting controls for strategy research, and an evaluation of an open-source trading engine.
04 Where
Small by design.
Wyoming, US
Where the company is organised and the systems are built.
Norway
Where part of the work is done, with a long-standing collaborator.
